I am so lucky to have such helpful neighbors – I got not one, but three copies in one day – look how cute the cover is?
As much as I love taking photos and the whirlwind of work that warm weather and the holidays bring, I have to admit I am loving the slower pace of winter! I am catching up on my photography blogs, going out to lunch with friends, actually getting to the gym, volunteering at the kids’ schools, baking – all that good stuff. Blogging should probably fall in there, too, so here is a brief update on us (with photos, of course). The editor of Homeland Life asked me to send along more photos so Livvie, Alex and I made a trip to the lakes at sunset last week while Zach was at basketball. I noticed that wile taking photos of people comes very naturally to me, the other stuff does not so much – I likes taking photos of the ducks, I guess – but they aren’t so easy to interact with, you know? I think I will stick to people for now![]()

This one was more fun to take….
Oh, and I was so proud to see this when I was volunteering at school this week – Alex is third from the right in the top row – I am so proud of him! And what a good photo!
I was taking photos at the 3rd grade’s “Colonial Day” – here is Zach, all dressed up and looking tough…

January is newborn season, so I thought I’d share a product that I have been creating for my past several sessions that has become really popular – in fact, one of my clients said it was the first thing he’d grab if his house caught fire (after the baby, I think he meant)…. It looks best in 16×20
