  • Welcome to the Limepop Photography Blog!

I am Laura Prichett, a Baltimore-based child, infant, and teen portrait photographer specializing in contemporary, natural light portraits. I work closely with you to create unique works of art for your home, which reflect the true essence and beauty of your child. My sessions are fun, playful, and custom tailored to achieve our unique vision for your photographs. I will work closely with you to select appropriate clothes and the perfect location for your session. I embrace all that is Baltimore and welcome the opportunity to explore urban areas during our session, or to hold our session at a place that is meaningful for your family, especially your home. Newborn sessions are always shot on location in your home and should be scheduled within the first week after delivery. Contact me soon to schedule your Spring and Summer 2012 sessions.

Thanks, Neighbors! | Baltimore Child Photographer Laura Prichett

I am so lucky to have such helpful neighbors – I got not one, but three copies in one day – look how cute the cover is?

As much as I love taking photos and the whirlwind of work that warm weather and the holidays bring, I have to admit I am loving the slower pace of winter!  I am catching up on my photography blogs, going out to lunch with friends, actually getting to the gym, volunteering at the kids’ schools, baking – all that good stuff.  Blogging should probably fall in there, too, so here is a brief update on us (with photos, of course).   The editor of Homeland Life asked me to send along more photos so Livvie, Alex and I made a trip to the lakes at sunset last week while Zach was at basketball.  I noticed that wile taking photos of people comes very naturally to me, the other stuff does not so much – I likes taking photos of the ducks, I guess – but they aren’t so easy to interact with, you know?  I think I will stick to people for now:)This one was more fun to take….
Oh, and I was so proud to see this when I was volunteering at school this week – Alex is third from the right in the top row – I am so proud of him!  And what a good photo!I was taking photos at the 3rd grade’s “Colonial Day” – here is Zach, all dressed up and looking tough…

Made the Cover! | Baltimore Child Photographer Laura Prichett

So I hear that my photo of Olivia with the Homeland Wolf (Homeland is our neighborhood) is on the cover of the new issue of “Homeland Life” magazine – but I can’t get my hands on one – how did they send it to everyone but me?  If any friends out there in Homeland have one, please save it for me!  Here is the photo….

Parts Board – Baltimore Newborn Photographer Laura Prichett

January is newborn season, so I thought I’d share a product that I have been creating for my past several sessions that has become really popular – in fact, one of my clients said it was the first thing he’d grab if his house caught fire (after the baby, I think he meant)….  It looks best in 16×20

Three Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed… | Baltimore Newborn Photographer Laura Prichett

Or maybe I should say one baby, one big brother and one little monkey jumping on the bed…  I shot (and edited most of these) before Christmas, so they would be a surprise for there boys’ dad – that’s why I couldn’t post the photos before – I didn’t want to risk ruining the surprise!  I absolutely adore mom’s wardrobe choices – the stripy pajamas on the white bed are just amazing!  I must also say that these guys were so sweet and easy to work with – the 10 year old was so agreeable and responsible and the baby didn’t fuss at all!  Enjoy!
