  • Welcome to the Limepop Photography Blog!

I am Laura Prichett, a Baltimore-based child, infant, and teen portrait photographer specializing in contemporary, natural light portraits. I work closely with you to create unique works of art for your home, which reflect the true essence and beauty of your child. My sessions are fun, playful, and custom tailored to achieve our unique vision for your photographs. I will work closely with you to select appropriate clothes and the perfect location for your session. I embrace all that is Baltimore and welcome the opportunity to explore urban areas during our session, or to hold our session at a place that is meaningful for your family, especially your home. Newborn sessions are always shot on location in your home and should be scheduled within the first week after delivery. Contact me soon to schedule your Spring and Summer 2012 sessions.

Rough and Tumble… | Baltimore Child Photographer Laura Prichett

I loved this session.  First of all, mom and dad were very easygoing and excited about the session, and these boys were just hilarious!  They would roll around like puppies, both with and without their own dog, but much unlike my own children these guys were tough!  Big brother could even sit on little brother (exhibit A, below) and little brother just smiled and giggled, hilarious!   In the end, they dove into the stream walk with great enthusiasm and both ended up soaked – and still smiling!  Add to that the fact that the rain held off until our session was done, and you have some magic.  Enjoy!

Clothes don’t make the man… | Baltimore Child Photographer Laura Prichett

But these men are looking very chic and showing how clothes can make an already good session really great!  I was over the moon happy to work with this family again – I really think each one of them, mom, dad, and the boys are just awesome and I was so happy to include the 5th family member in this session – Ive had a whole bunch of families with dogs lately – I just love how they add to a kid session…  Enjoy!

You know how much I love a good tooth gap – so cute!

Meet Jovie! – Baltimore Photographer Laura Prichett

Our newest addition…  Welcome, Jovie Prichett!  We have had a heck of a few weeks around here – our house was burglarized and I still haven’t replaced my desktop so I am getting increasingly far behind on work – ugh.  The good news is they caught the guys, they are in jail, and we got back all the small stuff.  The bad news is the door is still boarded up in the back and the kids were feeling kind of sad – but here is a little beam of sunshine right when we needed it!  The name Jovie came from the movie “Elf” – the family’s favorite Christmas movie, Jovie is his girlfriend.

Jovie is 4 months old, we adopted her yesterday from a very nice breeder in Richmond, Virginia.  So far, she loves chasing the kids in the backyard, most of these photos were taken while she was running around with Zach and Alex yesterday.  We had old dogs for so long I forgot how great our yard is for puppies!  She loves being outside, when the kids went to school she played with the swings for an hour, chewing and swinging them back and forth – she also loves the tee ball bats – what a sport!  She is a lot more timid indoors, and doesn’t do stairs yet, so basically, when we carry her in, she stays put in that exact spot until carried somewhere else – my friend Rebecca said I should enjoy the stillness now, because she will come out of her shell soon and I will long for not having to chase her around the house!

Birthday Girl…. | Baltimore Senior Portrait Photographer Laura Prichett

This was such a fun session for me – a totally glamorous makeup and modeling birthday party!   I have known the birthday girl since she was little – I just can’t believe what a beautiful young woman she has become!  I also took photos of the other ladies in attendance, but I have to wait and get permission from the parents before I share those…more to come!

And a big sorry to everyone out there waiting for me to edit your sessions – long story but my house was broken into and my desktop (among other things) was stolen a week ago.  I am trying to pick up the pieces, deal with insurance, and wait for my new desktop, making due with my old laptop in the meantime.  I will do my best to get everything done as soon as physically possible!
